Caution Tape

        Stay away. There is nothing good that is going to happen here. Don't you understand that is the your warning. Baggage would be an understatement in this instances but hey, you should of seen the caution tape. So I use these cheesy pickup lines on these girls. Like pulling out a pack of sugar and telling her that she dropped her name tag. Maybe that God will be upset when he realizes that he is missing one of his angles. Or I ask her if it hurt... Did it hurt when he gave you everything that you had ever wanted and then one day ripped out your heart. Sometimes I feel like super man I use my x-ray vision to look right through these walls that you have built. I know that look on your face that is the fake smile like it is new shirt that you got at the store so that you put on while getting ready to go out so no one will ask you what is wrong... I know this look because we shop at the same store. Being happy just didn't seem so safe anymore. There is just something missing though. While you feel safe you are not happy... Don't you understand that you are amazing. Your heart is an orchestra and people would think that John Williams was in there directing it. I know it sounds strange, but I have to think that guy who broke your heart. If it was not for his mistake you might of moved into that relationship only to be stuck for the rest of your life. The thing is now you are free. I know you sit in your room at night and cry but there is no need. I am not saying I am perfect but I am saying that I am here. Like any good person I am whatever you need me to be because I just want you to be happy, but don't get it twisted, I do love you. You wanna know how I got these scars but I am reluctant to tell you. Just like I see through the walls that you put up and can see though the clown makeup that is on my face coving the scars from all of the shrapnel that is my life. I lie. I tell you it is because of some girl but it is not. The thing is that I only have scars and no cuts. The difference is that my scars have healed and I have learned and become a better man from them, but cuts are what a person refuses to fix in their life. Up until about a year ago I was coved with these cuts. Then I grew up... But I don't want to tell you all of this. Don't take this the wrong way, I do trust you. I trust you so much that I look into your eyes, now that is not something I do often because I am afraid of what I might see in people. With you it is all good. Just remember no one can make you feel inferior without your permission, so the next time that he lies or cheats or hits you write him a thank you note with no return address. Resist all temptation of going back because you think that you need him because you don't. Truth be told I might not be what you need either but that is okay, I will just help you with your bags.

How hard can you get hit.

You know this is one of my favorite movie speeches of all time. There is a playlist of four songs that I listen to every morning. One of the songs on there is just some of the best motivational quotes ever set to super dramatical music in the background. When the Rocky quote starts I get goosebumps every time. You know everything that is said is true in my opinion. You think great people are not ever met with adversity? How would you learn how to make yourself better if you are never knocked down? These are questions we need to ask ourselves when we are in a place in out lives that we do not see as ideal. Never stay there though. That is the key to winning. If you want to do something then do it never let anyone hold you back. Who is to say what is unattainable? There are two kinds of people in this world those who say I can and those who say I can't and they are both usually right. It is your state of mind that controls your destiny. You think Michael Jordan become the best basketball player ever by listening to every person that did not believe in him? NO! That is motivation in its purist form. As humans we love proving people wrong. I have never met someone that does not get some sort of satisfaction in proving others wrong. You do not what those people to be right, you want to be the one who gets to sit there with a smirk on your face saying I told you so.  When you want something you have to go get it, that is on you. Like Rocky said, "saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody." You can not blame other people for your choices. To be honest my dad was not really around when I was growing up. When I was younger I use to blame my mistakes and screw ups on that fact. As I have gotten a little bit older I came to the realization that I had to stop. I was honestly holding myself back because I thought the thing I were doing were justified and they weren't. I was not taking any responsibility for my actions because I saw an easier way out. The great people in this world do not take the easy way. There is no value or lesson or reward in taking the easy way. If you fail you learn from that is how you make yourself better. Take your trials and you improve yourself one day at a time. If you think that it is going to be some over night thing well get real. You want to be the best you have to put in work every day for that no matter what it is you want to be. I have used big metaphors like athletes in this blog but honestly it can be anything. If you want to be the worlds best writer for example then that is what you have to do every day. The moment when you stop trying to improve, the moment when you start to compromise with yourself that is when you start the downhill spiral that is failure. Never say that is good enough always want to be better, always need to be better. Keep moving in whatever it is that you want in life.

Pursuit Of Happyness

If there is something that you want in this world you have to go get it. There will always be haters in this world you can't change that but instead get your head into something and go after it. I am kind of tired of how down people are in this world, for example. While I was doing student teaching last year and the teacher asked the middle school teacher asked the kids what they wanted to be when they were older. Then the teacher said" I don't want any out of each jobs like pro athletes or astronaut or anything like that." Now this really got at me like how are you going to kill a kids dreams like that. Now regrettably I did not say anything to anyone about it. Now I think that if you really want something in this world you can achieve it no matter how big of a dream it is. Now dreams change a lot throughout your life. My dream when I was little as nerdy as this sounds, I wanted to be a paleontologist. I wanted my entire life to be about dinosaurs and nothing more. Now I didn't give in for really any reason but I just lost my passion in some way. Right now my dream is just to get married have a family and be happy and I want to provide for my family.But to tell a kid that he will never be able to do something should be a crime. My imagination was my only friend for a long time. Really anything is possible and everyone needs to really remember that. I wish that more people would stop settling for just a life that they are not happy with. As a people we need to support each other in things that we want to do. I think that if someone has a real dream you should just tell them that they can do it. NOW, I think that people do need constructive  criticism but you have to understand the difference between that and "hating". Sitting there and telling someone that they suck and should find something else to do is wrong. I think that you could help someone with a tad bit of criticism that is needed in this world. To go back to the quote people cant do something themselves they wanna tell you cant do it. That is where all of this hate in the world comes from. The people that just settle want everyone else to settle too. There is just a part of these people that want everyone else to be unhappy too. I want everyone to feel the support that I have in my life and I know that everyone really is capable of amazing things. You hear all of the rags to riches stories in this world and I think that it has kind of lost what it use to be. These people are talented no questions asked. These people were most likely told that they would never be athletes or actors or anything like that all the time growing up. Instead they kept moving and pushing themselves until they made it. So many people stop moving forward with their dreams because of people telling them that they can't and that is just sad. For example, Michael Jordan the best basketball players of all time was cut from his high school basketball team. Now imagine if that would have been it. He gave up on his dream and never player basketball again. No, he kept going and made himself better and won six NBA championship rings. So I leave you with this you can always better yourself and you never should give up on something if you really want it.

Why Do We Fall?

Been a few weeks with Christmas and New Years but I'm back!
So tonights blog is inspired by the quote "Why do we fall? So we can learn to pick ourselves back up." This was said in the movie Batman Begins. This is a one of many great quotes from this series which I will bring up a few more in here tonight. Learning how to be resilient is a painful road simply because practice makes perfect. Now take this into whatever form you want like emotional or physical. Learning how to pick yourself up means you must fall down and falling down always hurts no matter who you are. Now you can act like you don't care or act like it doesn't hurt because I have been doing it forever. When you just act like you don't care or don't feel hurt, you are not picking yourself back up. What you are really doing is just keeping yourself down and more then that you are really just digging yourself into the ground! "Wanna know how I got these scars?" Yeah falling down leaves scars!!! Dont just pull down your sleeves to hide them from everyone else and defiantly dont hide your scars if you are trying to start a relationship. If you have dug yourself into a hole and if you find someone that is willing to help dig you out and stand you back up accept it! Everyone need help, sticking with the theme here Batman had Robin. He could have done it on his own but no... The best way to get back up  is to have someone help you. Life is the toughest game ever played because there is no real story line for your character. See that is the hardest thing to live with is the unknown but honestly it is also the best thing in life. Think about it, what would you do if your entire life was laid out in front of you. There we be no happiness or hope in the world. Falling and getting back up would be lost because you would know if that situation will even be a lesson in your life. See that is a hidden beauty in falling. Lessons and opportunities  could always come out of it. "No one cared who I was until I put the mask on." See this was an opportunity in Banes life and he took it. Now he did use this opportunity for evil but he made that choice just like everyone has a choice of what we can do with our lives. Everyone will have there "mask" in their life. There is that one thing in every person that no one can ignore no matter how good, bad, big, or small. Your "mask" is that one thing that makes you, you. It is not always easy to see what your mask is. I think my mask is my ability to make friend with everyone. With your "mask" you can also do work in others. That is our choice though. Batman used his mask to help an entire city to get out of bad times. Agree with it or not I try my best to use my "mask" to bring people to God. Falling is hard and so is getting back up, but in the process of both we learn about not only the world but also ourselves but also the people around us. Never forget there will always be someone there for you, always.

What is a hero

          When I was growing up when I heard the word hero I thought of Superman and Batman like most kids do. Now as I got older I developed a new understanding of what the word hero meant. I think as we have developed as a world the word has taken on a different meaning as well. In Greek literature a hero was someone that was remarkably brave and could defeat any challenge that was put in their path. People told these stories to get their minds off of what was really going on in their lives. It was also to give people hope in their lives.

          While Super heroes are not really the do stand for something and have a meaning in everyone lives. For example, Captain America was created during World War II. Steve Rodgers (Captain Americas alias) was originally this wimpy kid that had the heart of a lion and wanted nothing more then to kill some Nazis. He was turned down time after time because of his physical appearance. Then after some science experiments and some strange syringes full of who knows what he was given the physical status of the perfect solider. It showed that as long as you have the heart you can do anything in your life. Captain America also gave the American people hope during the War. He was running around killin Nazis and kicking Hitlers teeth in on a weekly basis. Notice how in a lot of stories the hero is almost always an underdogs? Luke, Frodo, Harry all modern day heroes all underdogs. Is that because we love an underdog story? Or is it because we all want to be those heroes, when we read Lord of the Rings we like to picture ourselves in that and put their journeys into our own lives. Super Hero creator and legend Stan Lee said "While no one is expected to leap tall buildings in a signal bound, our aspiring heroes will be tested on their courage, integrity, self-sacrifice, compassion, and resourcefulness- the stuff of all true Super Heroes." I agree with Mr. Lee that those are the quality that real life heroes posses.

          Some people will tell you that there is a hero in all of us. I agree and disagree with that statement. I believe that there is a potential hero in all of us but you have to make the decision to bring out that hero. One of my all time favorite quotes comes from a famous line from Spider-Man "With great power comes great responsibility." Basically if you have the ability to make a difference you also have the duty too. Now this an imperfect world so obviously people are greedy and do not all in their power to help others. Now while it may not be doing a lot even something as simple as donating to charity can make you a hero to someone. You are using your power to help others, you are being selfless to help other people. Now I think in someways even this has been perverted in out society. I think if famous people really wanted to help just to help they would do it completely anonymously. Now there money and services still help but they are doing it for their own glory and not to just help people. 

          There are still heroes in todays world though so don't fear. First lets start with our Military. They constantly make personal sacrifices to help millions of people they will never meet in their entire lives. These people deserve our upmost respect all of the time they are true heroes. Then we have our public safety personnel. These are police offices, firefighters. These people go out every day risking their lives for people they don't know. They are willing to make the greatest sacrifice to ensure our safety. Now there are also other types of heroes to many to go over in this already extremely long post. 

        Just leave with these thoughts. While we may all not have the ability to sling webs or have super strength we all do have the ability and responsibility to help people. Even the smallest act of kindness can change someones life. So make sure you remember this next time you see someone that needs help or if you feel a calling for something bigger then that follow it if that is what you really want.

Once again

Damn I suck at keeping up with these, but I'm going to really going to try! So I was struggling on coming up with a topic but I think I have one for you guys. We are going to discuss is the importance on communication in life. The dictionary says the communication is the imparting or exchanging of information or news. This is important in so many aspects of everyone lives. Communication is key in every relationship that you will ever be in. So lets start with just the every day communication. It is super important in your life to try an develop these skills in life. It will help in both social and professional aspects of life. You have to be able to talk to make friends. I feel like we all learned this at a young age. If you are just that kid that sits in the corner by themselves it is much more difficult to make friends. As far as the professional part goes being able to talk and communicate will greatly help your chances to first get the job and then to excel in any area of work. Just the ability to uphold a casual conversation can lead to amazing things in life. So what I am saying is don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and just talk to people. It is simply talking people have been doing it forever, you can do it I believe in you!!! Now lets move onto communication in relationships. Now I have stated in previous blogs I am no relationship expert, these are just my opinions. Now I think that communication is maybe number one thing you need in a relationship. I have learned that if you do not express how you feel then nothing will ever work out. When two people are a relationship they must be able to express their feelings to one another. Im sure everyone has had an experienced a time when someone has come to them with a issue where they like someone but do not want to tell them or they are angry at their boyfriend for girlfriend and you simply tell them to talk to the other person about it. It seems so simple right? Now I understand I have been there, the last thing you want to do is tell this person how you are feeling but that is what you need to do! Sometimes you just need to grow up. I am tired of couples just talking behind one anthers back it never ends well... Sometimes I feel like no one gets that! It is simple just talk to each other! I know it can be scary, but it needs to be done.

It has been awhile

So I did like one of these and stopped. So now I am going to start doing them again to kind of vent and talk about my thoughts of a lot of things.
So the subject I would like to touch on today is girls... So here is a little background on all of my girlfriends. One... and that was hardly a relationship because alls we ever did was fight but thats whatever. I am not going to sit here and act like I know everything about girls because I don't, in fact I know almost nothing. Here is what I do know. I am a "guy friend" basically meaning girls don't want to date me but they want to be friends. That is cool for the most part I love and am thankful for the friends that I have that are girls, but... it also gets really annoying. For example I will not name one instance because it happens all the time. I get the same thing for a lot of girls. I tell them how I feel about them and the response is almost always the same. "Look I don't think we should date because you are such a great friend and I would hate to mess that up." So in basic terms them are telling me no, but in what they think is a nice way. Okay done with that, moving on. Lets talk about love. I think love is a concept that our  society has pretty much completely messed up. Like there are 7th graders out there talking about how much they love there boyfriend/girlfriend. NEWS FLASH: you don't!or even the high schoolers or college kids who have been dating someone for an month I bet you money that you do not love them. Now don't get me wrong I have seen true love in high school relationships so it can happen, but it is rare. I have never told a girl that I loved her but I truly do think I have and still do love this girl. She is perfect... She basically gave me the friend speech about a year or two ago but guess what, this time it did not work. I still think about her a lot write songs about her but you see the problem is that that she is also in love. With someone else. Now I do not think this is a bad thing. He is a good guy and they are great together so I just have to let it be. I have moved on in a sense. I have started to find other girls that I like and want to be with which is good. Sometimes you even find a great girl that you really like and the biggest shocker is that she even likes you back, but after think and praying long and hard about it you realize that you were never going to marry that girl so you have to move on from that as well. I am not saying that any of this is easy. In fact quit the opposite, letting someone that you care about go is one of the hardest things to do. In life you must be resilient you have to take life as it comes no if ands or buts about it. because in the end everything will work out, it always does.
